Harry Mason
	Harry is the protagonist of Silent Hill. A writer and lover of spy novels, he lives alone with his daughter Cheryl, after having lost his wife to a disease four years before the events of the game. He is a seemingly ordinary man and naturally concerned about the safety of his daughter.

Cheryl Mason
Cheryl is Harry's little "seven year old girl; [with] short, black hair." She is fairly quiet and enjoys drawing. Her becoming lost in Silent Hill sparks Harry's quest and the primary objective of the game.

Alessa
	A mysterious, ghostly woman that Harry encounters throughout the game. She appears at key points in the plot and probably has some connection with the bizarre events that take place.

Cybil Bennett
"...a police officer from Brahms, the next town over." Cybil is a young officer who happens to arrive at Silent Hill the same time as Harry, leaving her in basically the same predicament. Harry and Cybil must work together to find Cheryl and escape the town.

Dahlia Gillespie
	A mysterious, old woman--a resident of the town--who seems to have an understanding of what's going on in Silent Hill. She serves as a sort of mystic guide to Harry in his travels, and providing him with the necessary equipment.

Dr. Michael Kaufmann
A physician who works at the Alchemilla Hospital in Silent Hill. A cold, serious man, he wakes up from a nap to find the chaos that Harry and Cybil are dealing with. He is preoccupied with his "business" however and doesn't seem to be of much help.

Lisa Garland
	A nurse of the Alchemilla Hospital, Lisa is yet another person who has been engulfed by the world of Silent Hill. She is a soft-spoken and friendly young woman, often providing Harry with practical tips. She is naturally frightened by her circumstances and hates to part with Harry.
